Building Healthy Emotional Regulation in Teenagers: Parenting Seminar at St. John Gading Serpong

On January 30, 2026, the SOA Psychological & Educational Support Center team had the opportunity to visit St. John Gading Serpong to conduct a parenting seminar titled “Building Healthy Emotional Regulation in Teenagers.”

The seminar brought together parents who wanted to better understand adolescent emotional development and the important role families play in helping teenagers develop healthy emotional regulation. Throughout the session, participants explored the emotional challenges commonly experienced during adolescence, learned about the factors that influence emotional regulation, and gained practical communication strategies for fostering warm, supportive parent-child relationships.

Through interactive discussions grounded in psychological principles, the seminar provided practical insights that parents can apply in their daily interactions with their teenagers. By strengthening parents’ understanding of adolescent emotional needs, SOA hopes to support families in creating a safe and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

SOA extends its sincere appreciation to St. John Gading Serpong for the opportunity to share this learning experience. We look forward to continuing our collaboration in promoting the mental health and well-being of children and adolescents.
