Bullying Prevention Seminar at Jakarta Nanyang School

On January 29, 2026, Hanlie Muliani, together with the SOA Psychological & Educational Support Center team, visited Jakarta Nanyang School to conduct a seminar for teachers and parents on understanding and addressing bullying among adolescents.

The seminar aimed to increase awareness of the complex nature of bullying and its impact on students’ emotional, social, and psychological well-being. Participants explored the different forms of bullying, the factors that contribute to bullying behavior, and the warning signs that may indicate a student is either experiencing or engaging in bullying.

Throughout the session, teachers and parents learned practical strategies for recognizing bullying early, responding effectively, and creating environments where students feel safe, respected, and supported. The discussion also emphasized the importance of open communication, empathy, collaboration between home and school, and proactive intervention to prevent bullying from escalating.

By equipping both educators and parents with evidence-based knowledge and practical tools, the seminar reinforced the shared responsibility of schools and families in fostering a positive school culture where every student can learn and grow with confidence.

SOA sincerely thanks Jakarta Nanyang School for the opportunity to partner in promoting student well-being and bullying prevention. We look forward to continuing our collaboration in supporting schools and families as they work together to create safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning communities.
