Teacher Training at Sekolah Bogor Raya: Creating Meaningful Conversations with Students

The SOA Psychological & Educational Support Center team had the opportunity to visit Sekolah Bogor Raya to conduct a teacher training workshop focused on building meaningful conversations with students and developing empathetic listening skills.

Teachers play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive school environment where students feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, emotions, and concerns. During the training, participants explored practical strategies for fostering open communication, building trust, and responding to students with empathy rather than judgment.

The workshop emphasized the importance of active listening, asking thoughtful questions, validating students’ experiences, and creating everyday interactions that encourage students to feel heard and understood. Through discussions, case studies, and interactive activities, teachers gained practical tools to strengthen their relationships with students and support their social and emotional well-being.

SOA extends its sincere appreciation to Sekolah Bogor Raya for the opportunity to collaborate in supporting educators’ professional growth. We hope the strategies shared during the training will help teachers cultivate stronger connections with their students and contribute to a positive, caring, and emotionally supportive learning environment.
