Jakarta, July 17, 2026 – SOA Psychology and Educational Support Centre conducted a bullying prevention program for Grade 10 students at Santa Ursula School on Friday, July 17, 2026. The interactive seminar aimed to deepen students’ understanding of the underlying causes of bullying while empowering them to become positive agents of change in creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive school community.
During the session, students explored the complex factors that can contribute to bullying behavior, including emotional challenges, peer pressure, the desire for acceptance or social status, and a lack of empathy. The seminar also examined the different forms of bullying physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying and discussed the significant emotional, psychological, and academic impact bullying can have on everyone involved, including victims, perpetrators, and bystanders.
A central focus of the program was encouraging students to become “Green People”individuals who actively foster kindness, empathy, respect, and inclusion in their everyday interactions. Rather than remaining silent when witnessing bullying, students were encouraged to take positive action by supporting their peers, speaking up safely, and seeking help from trusted adults when necessary. Through these actions, every student has the opportunity to contribute to a school culture where everyone feels accepted and valued.
The seminar featured interactive discussions, reflective activities, and real-life scenarios that invited students to consider how everyday choices and behaviors influence the wellbeing of others. Students participated enthusiastically throughout the session, sharing thoughtful perspectives and engaging in meaningful conversations about empathy, responsibility, and the importance of creating positive peer relationships.
Through this initiative, SOA Psychology and Educational Support Centre continues its commitment to promoting students’ social and emotional wellbeing by equipping young people with the knowledge, empathy, and practical skills needed to prevent bullying and build healthier school communities.
SOA extends its sincere appreciation to the leadership, teachers, and Grade 10 students of Santa Ursula School for their warm welcome, active participation, and commitment to fostering a school environment where every student feels safe, respected, and empowered to thrive. Together, we can continue building communities where kindness is a daily choice and everyone plays a role in preventing bullying.
