Jakarta, July 15, 2026 – SOA Psychology and Educational Support Centre conducted a bullying prevention program for the Grade 10 boys and girls of Pengudi Luhur Senior High School on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. The educational session aimed to increase students’ understanding of the causes of bullying and empower them to become active contributors to a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment.
The program introduced students to the various factors that may contribute to bullying behavior, including difficulties with emotional regulation, peer influence, the desire for social acceptance, and limited empathy. Students also learned about the different forms of bullying—physical, verbal, social, and cyberbullying—and explored the short- and long-term impact bullying can have on victims, perpetrators, and bystanders.
One of the central themes of the session was the concept of becoming a “Green Person.” This approach encourages students to foster a positive school culture by demonstrating empathy, respect, and responsibility in their daily interactions. Rather than remaining passive bystanders, students were encouraged to support peers who may be experiencing bullying, seek help from trusted adults when necessary, and contribute to creating an environment where everyone feels safe and valued.
The session was delivered through a combination of presentations, interactive discussions, and reflective activities, providing students with opportunities to examine real-life situations and consider how their individual choices can influence the wellbeing of those around them. Students actively participated throughout the program, sharing their perspectives and engaging in meaningful conversations about kindness, inclusion, and personal responsibility.
Through this initiative, SOA Psychology and Educational Support Centre continues its commitment to promoting students’ social and emotional wellbeing by equipping young people with the knowledge and skills needed to build healthier relationships and prevent bullying within the school community.
SOA Psychology and Educational Support Centre extends its sincere appreciation to the leadership, teachers, and Grade 10 students of Pengudi Luhur Senior High School for their warm hospitality and enthusiastic participation. The collaboration reflects a shared commitment to fostering a school environment where every student feels respected, supported, and empowered to thrive..
