On May 5, 2026, SOA Psychological & Educational Support Center, in collaboration with ICAN and Monash University Indonesia, conducted a professional seminar for teachers and school counselors on bullying prevention and creating safe spaces in schools.
The seminar highlighted the critical role educators play in fostering a school environment where every student feels safe, respected, and supported. Participants explored the underlying causes of bullying, its impact on students’ emotional and psychological well-being, and the importance of early identification and intervention.
Throughout the session, teachers and counselors learned practical strategies for preventing bullying, responding effectively when incidents occur, and building a positive school culture based on empathy, respect, and inclusion. The discussion also emphasized the importance of creating emotionally safe spaces where students feel comfortable seeking help, expressing their concerns, and developing healthy relationships with trusted adults.
Through interactive discussions, case studies, and evidence-based practices, participants gained valuable insights into strengthening collaboration among educators, counselors, and families to support student well-being and promote a more inclusive learning environment.
SOA extends its sincere appreciation to ICAN and Monash University Indonesia for the opportunity to collaborate on this meaningful initiative. Together, we remain committed to empowering educators with the knowledge and skills needed to create safer, more supportive schools where every student can learn, grow, and thrive.
