Teacher Training on Student Well-Being at SMPK 2 Penabur

On July 9, 2026, the SOA Psychological & Educational Support Center conducted a teacher training workshop for the educators of SMPK 2 Penabur, focusing on promoting student well-being.

Recognizing that teachers play a crucial role in supporting students’ academic success and emotional development, the training aimed to equip educators with a deeper understanding of the factors that contribute to student well-being. Participants explored how students’ emotional, social, and psychological health influences their learning, relationships, motivation, and overall school experience.

Throughout the workshop, teachers learned practical strategies for creating a positive and supportive classroom environment, recognizing signs of emotional distress, fostering resilience, and building meaningful relationships with students. The session also emphasized the importance of empathy, effective communication, and collaboration in nurturing a school culture where every student feels valued, safe, and supported.

Through interactive discussions and real-life case examples, educators reflected on their role in promoting well-being both inside and outside the classroom. The training encouraged teachers to adopt proactive approaches that not only address challenges but also help students develop the skills and confidence needed to thrive.

SOA sincerely thanks SMPK 2 Penabur for the opportunity to collaborate in supporting student well-being through teacher professional development. We look forward to continuing our partnership in fostering healthy, resilient, and thriving school communities.
